Tuesday, October 14, 7:00 pm – Festival Opening Concert

Performed by Evgeny Starodubtsev, the winner of the latest International M. K. Čiurlionis Piano and Organ Competition, a fantastic performer and promoter of M. K. Čiurlionis music and a charismatic pianist together with the Orchestra of The National M.K.Čiurlionis School of Art conducted by Martynas Staškus.

W. A. Mozart – Koncertas fortepijonui su orkestru nr.19 F-dur K.459,

E. Grieg – Siuita „Peras Giuntas”.

 

AT LITHUANIAN ART MUSEUM (3A Arsenalo St.):

Saturday, October 18, 6:00 pm – “Hommage A. Dvořák”

Internationally acclaimed pianist from France, the youngest-ever  winner of J.S. Bach Competition, sensational Igor Lazko performing in Lithuania again after a nearly 20-year break will give a joint concert  with the youngest Lithuanian piano professor Aleksandra Žvirblytė, a representative of the renowned dynasty of pianists, the laureate of two International M. K. Čiurlionis Piano and Organ Competitions.

Performers: Kristijonas Megelinskas, Elžbieta Dvarionaitė, Lukas Gedvilas, Kamilė Zaveckaitė (piano), Justina Doerup (violin), Mantas Jarašūnas (descant); concertmasters – Aleksandras Vizbaras, Ugnė Antanavičiūtė (piano).

On the program   M. K. Čiurlionis, M. Ravel, F. Liszt, F. Chopin, V. Klova and e.t.c.

 

AT THE PALACE OF THE GRAND DUKES OF LITHUANIA (4 Katedros Square) :

Monday, October 27, 7:00 pm – Festival Closing Concert

Andrius Žlabys (Lithuania-USA), a world star pianist and a phenomenal piano virtuoso will perform program pieces in his own unique interpretation.

J. S. Bach – Angliška siuita nr. 5 e-moll BWV 810,

W. A. Mozart – Sonata a-moll K.310,

M. K. Čiurlionis – Keturi preliudai,

E. Grieg – Holbergo siuita,

C. Franck – Preliudas, choralas ir fuga h-moll.
